Timber Lake Playhouse (TLP), northwestern Illinois’ non-profit professional summer theatre, is pleased to announce some exciting events that are coming up in July.
Friends of TLP Lemon Shake-Ups
The Friends of TLP, a dedicated group of volunteers, will be selling Lemon Shake-Ups during the matinée and evening performances of Sweet Charity on Sunday, July 3 and Saturday, July 9. TLP presents Stuart Little
Based on the book by Joseph Robinette, the adventures of a heroic stalwart mouse named Stuart Little has been a children’s classic for generations. Timber Lake Playhouse now presents this tale of comic misadventures on stage July 5, 7, 8 and 9 at 2pm. Tickets are $6 per person and available by clicking here.
Mount Carroll Chamber of Commerce Farmer’s Market at TLP
Timber Lake Playhouse has invited local farmers and craftsmen to sell local products, crafts, baked goods and locally grown produce, in front of the theatre on Wednesday, July 6 from 3pm to 5:30pm. The Farmer’s Market will be set up in between the matinee and evening performance of Sweet Charity. Location of the event is 8215 Black Oak RD, Mount Carroll, across from Timber Lake Resort.
TLP will be holding its annual weeklong teen workshop July 11-15 for teens Ages 13-18. Classes include acting, dance, voice, writing and improvisation taught by Artistic Director James Beaudry and TLP Resident Actors. Classes will be held 10 am to 4pm daily. Lunches are provided. 4th Annual Gala Event
Coming up Saturday, July 16th, First State Bank of Shannon-Polo-Lake Carroll will be sponsoring TLP’s Annual Gala Fundraiser at the Lake Carroll Clubhouse. There will be a silent and live auction, an array of elegant hors d’oeuvres, special performances by company members and the announcement of the exciting 2012 season. Tickets are $50 each, must be purchased by July 11 and are available at the Timber Lake Playhouse box office, online by clicking here or at any First State Bank locations.
