JUNIE B. JONES THE MUSICAL
Book and lyrics by
Timber Lake Playhouse proudly presents Junie B. Jones – The Musical by Marcy Hiesler and Zina Goldrich. This delightful adaptation of four of Barbara Park’s best-selling books is brought to life in a genuinely comical musical for all ages.
It’s Junie B.’s first day of first grade, and a lot of things have changed for her: Junie’s friend, Lucille, doesn’t want to be her best pal anymore and, on the bus, Junie B. makes friends with Herb, the new kid at school. Also, Junie has trouble reading the blackboard and her teacher, Mr. Scary, thinks she may need glasses. Throw in a friendly cafeteria lady, a kickball tournament and a “Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal,” and first grade has never been more exciting.
Featuring a tremendously loveable character and fun-filled songs, Junie B. Jones will capture your students’ hearts just as the books captivated an entire generation of children.
There will be eight performances of Junie B. Jones starting Tuesday, May 8 and continuing through Friday, May 11 at 10:00 and 1:00 and a performance on Saturday May 12 at 10:00. Each performance will be approximately 60 minutes. Admission is only $6.00 per person. Call 815 244-2035 to book your group.

Join Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the hip hip Hippo and, of course, those hilarious, plotting penguins as they bound onto your stage in the musical adventure of a lifetime. Based on the smash DreamWorks animated motion picture, Madagascar – A Musical Adventure follows all of your favorite crack-a-lackin’ friends as they escape from their home in New York’s Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien’s Madagascar.
Alex the lion is the king of the urban jungle, the main attraction at New York’s Central Park Zoo. He and his best friends – Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe and Gloria the hippo – have spent their whole lives in blissful captivity before an admiring public and with regular meals provided for them. Not content to leave well enough alone, Marty lets his curiosity get the better of him and makes his escape – with the help of some prodigious penguins – to explore the world.
