Children’s Theatre Performance Workshops
June 8 – 13, 2020
Workshop Fee – $50 per session
TLP’s Performance Workshops focus on developing strong performance skills, while emphasizing self-confidence, self-expression, creativity, concentration, self-esteem, individual style, public speaking, and group cooperation skills leading up to a public performance.  Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their acting, vocal performance, and/or dancing skills.  These workshops are open to children ages 7 – 12.

  • Kid Detectives (focus on acting): Calling all inspectors, detectives, and mystery-solvers! Something’s afoot at Timber Lake Playhouse and we need YOU to help us solve the mystery. Follow in the footsteps of Jada Jones, Nate the Great, Goldie Blox, Encyclopedia Brown, and the Boxcar Children to collect clues, follow suspicions, and draw conclusions. At the end of the week, we will bring our showcase audience along on a mystery and help them figure out—WHODUNIT?
  • PopStar Party (focus on singing and dancing): Dancing with Timberlake, getting creative like Taylor, or belting out Bruno, we are taking it a step further and adding a story to our favorite tunes. Inspired by Kidz Bop, RadioDisney, and other avenues of kid-appropriate pop music, TLP teaching artists will work with students to adapt music from popular musicians to create unique and original musical stories for the stage. The week concludes with a performance of the music for families and friends.
