Audition Schedule Revised

Posted on Jan 30, 20 in Blogroll

We’ve just revised our February audition schedule.  Chicago and other actors from the Midwest should plan on attending the TLP Chicago auditions scheduled for Monday, February 17 at the Porchlight Music Theatre’s rehearsal facility at 4200 W Diversey in Chicago.  We’ll begin at 11:00 am and continue until 6:00 pm.  We will take actors on a first come-first scheduled basis.  Please prepare a comedic monologue and 32 bars of a song showing off your voice. There will also be a dance call. All actors wishing to be considered for a position in our Resident Company must attend the dance call.  Please bring your headshot and resume.  You can email a link to your reel to casting@timberlakeplayhouse.org

Our local auditions will still be held at Timber Lake Playhouse on Sunday, March 29 beginning at 11:00 am and continuing until 7:00 pm primarily for our local actors auditioning for ensemble roles, guest roles, children’s roles in ANNIE, and roles in our Magic Owl Summer Show.  Please prepare a comedic monologue and 32 bars of a song showing off your voice. There will also be a dance call.  Please see our Audition Page for more information about scheduling a time at our local audition.  Local actors should call the administrative office at (815) 244–2048 to schedule an audition time.

If you are interested in auditioning for one of the orphans in ANNIE or for Annie herself, you must be between the ages of 7 — 13.  Please prepare 32 bars of a song either from the show or in the style of the show.  You must be available for ALL REHEARSALS AND SHOWS.  Auditions will be from 4 — 7 pm and there will be a dance audition.

If you have been participating in the Annie Audition Workshop, you will use the song, the lines and the dance you have learned in the workshop.  We will be casting Annie, the six speaking orphans, and several other dancing and singing orphans.  Call (815) 244–2048 after February 1 to schedule an audition time.

We are also hiring designers, technicians, stage managers and other staff.  Please send a cover letter, resume, references and a link to your digital portfolio (designers) to casting@timberlakeplayhouse.org and specify in the subject line what position you are interested in.
